General information on the legal basis for data processing on this website

If you have consented to data processing, we process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR or Art. 9 para. 2 lit. a GDPR, insofar as special categories of data are processed in accordance with Art. 9 para. 1 GDPR. In the event of express consent to the transfer of personal data to third countries, data processing is also carried out on the basis of Art. 49 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. If you have consented to the storage of cookies or access to information in your end device (e.g. via device fingerprinting), the data processing is also carried out on the basis of Section 25 (1) of the GDPR. Consent can be revoked at any time. If your data is required for the fulfilment of a contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures, we process your data on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. Furthermore, we process your data if this is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR. Data processing may also be carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Information on the relevant legal bases in each individual case is provided in the following paragraphs of this privacy policy.

Revocation of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. However, you can revoke any consent you have already given at any time. The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right to object to the collection of data in special cases and to direct marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)

If data processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e or f GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. The respective legal basis on which processing is based can be found in this privacy policy. If you object, we will no longer process your personal data concerned unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims (objection pursuant to Art. 21 (1) GDPR).

If your personal data are processed for the purpose of direct marketing, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for the purpose of such marketing; this also applies to profiling insofar as it is associated with such direct marketing. If you object, your personal data will subsequently no longer be used for the purpose of direct marketing (objection pursuant to Art. 21 (2) GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority

In the event of infringements of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement. The right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedies.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a commonly used, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only take place if it is technically feasible.

Information, deletion and correction

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient and the purpose of the data processing and, if necessary, a right to correction or deletion of this data. You can contact us at any time if you have further questions on the subject of personal data.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time to do this. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:

If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we generally need time to check this. For the duration of the review, you have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted.

If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of erasure.

If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it for the exercise, defence or assertion of legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of its erasure.

If you have lodged an objection in accordance with Art. 21 (1) GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data – apart from its storage – may only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or of a Member State.

SSL or TLS encryption

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Objection to advertising e-mails

We hereby object to the use of contact data published as part of our obligation to provide a legal notice for the purpose of sending unsolicited advertising and information material. The operators of this website expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, such as spam e-mails.

4. Data collection on this website

Cookies

We and our partners use cookies to provide the relevant services. This also applies when you visit our website or access our services.

A “cookie” is a small data packet that is assigned to your device when you visit a website from this website. Cookies are useful and can be used for various purposes. These include, for example, easier navigation between different pages, automatic activation of certain functions, saving your settings and optimised access to our services. The use of cookies also enables us to show you relevant adverts tailored to your interests and to collect statistical information about your use of our services.

This website uses the following types of cookies:

  • “Session cookies”, which ensure normal system utilisation. Session cookies are only stored for a limited time during a session and are deleted from your device as soon as you close your browser.
  • “Permanent cookies”, which are only read by the website and are not deleted when the browser window is closed, but are stored on your computer for a certain period of time. This type of cookie enables us to identify you on your next visit and, for example, to save your settings.
  • “Third-party cookies”, which are set by other online services that are represented with their own content on the page you are visiting. These may be, for example, external web analytics companies that record and analyse access to our website.

Cookies do not contain any personal data that identifies you, but the personal data we store may be linked by us to the data contained in the cookies. You can remove cookies via your device settings. Please follow the relevant instructions. You can also set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Please note that deactivating cookies may restrict certain functions when using our website.

Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process, to provide certain functions that you have requested (e.g. for the shopping basket function) or to optimise the website (e.g. cookies to measure the web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TDDDG); consent can be revoked at any time.

Insofar as cookies are used by third-party companies or for analysis purposes, we will inform you about this separately in the context of this data protection declaration and, if necessary, request your consent.

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are

  • Browser type and browser version Operating system used Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer Time of the server enquiry
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources.

This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of its website – the server log files must be recorded for this purpose.

Contact form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR if your enquiry is related to the fulfilment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR), as this is requested with every enquiry via the contact form; consent can be revoked at any time.

We will retain the data you provide on the contact form until you request its deletion, revoke your consent for its storage, or the purpose for its storage no longer pertains (e.g. after fulfilling your request). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Enquiry by e-mail, telephone or fax

If you contact us by e-mail, telephone or fax, your enquiry including all personal data (name, enquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request.

6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) if this has been requested; consent can be revoked at any time.

The data you send to us via contact requests will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

Note on data transfer to the USA

Among other things, tools from companies based in the USA are integrated on our website. If these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to the US servers of the respective companies. We would like to point out that the USA is not a safe third country within the meaning of EU data protection law. US companies are obliged to disclose personal data to security authorities without you as the data subject being able to take legal action against this. It can therefore not be ruled out that US authorities (e.g. secret services) may process, analyse and permanently store your data on US servers for surveillance purposes. We have no influence on these processing activities.

General disclaimer

All information on our website has been carefully checked. We endeavour to ensure that the information we provide is up-to-date, correct and complete. Nevertheless, the occurrence of errors cannot be completely ruled out, which means that we cannot guarantee the completeness, correctness and topicality of information, even of a journalistic or editorial nature. Liability claims arising from material or immaterial damage caused by the use of the information provided are excluded, unless there is evidence of wilful intent or gross negligence.

The use of or access to this website is at the visitor’s own risk. The publisher, its clients or partners are not responsible for damages, such as direct, indirect, accidental, pre-determined or consequential damages, which are allegedly caused by visiting this website and therefore accept no liability for this.

5. Social media

LinkedIn

Korff Isolmatic GmbH uses the information service offered on LinkedIn via the technical platform and services of LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland is responsible for the data processing of persons living in the designated countries of the GDPR (European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland): https://www.linkedin.com/legal/impressum

We would like to point out that you use the LinkedIn page offered by us and its functions on your own responsibility. This applies in particular to the use of the interactive functions (e.g. commenting, sharing, rating).

The information and publications to be found on our LinkedIn page are a voluntary additional offer. Visiting our LinkedIn page is only possible for registered users of the LinkedIn platform.

1. data processed by LinkedIn:

Information on what data is processed by LinkedIn and for what purposes can be found in LinkedIn’s privacy policy: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy

By using LinkedIn, your personal data will be collected, transferred, stored, disclosed and used by the LinkedIn Corporation. LinkedIn transfers your data from the countries designated in the GDPR to the United States of America (USA) and back. The LinkedIn data centres for the storage of its members’ information are currently located in the USA and Singapore.

Korff Isolmatic GmbH has no influence on the type and scope of the data processed by LinkedIn, the type of processing and use or the transfer of this data to third parties. Nor does it have any effective control options in this respect.

Likewise, Korff Isolmatic GmbH has no knowledge of the content of your data transmitted to LinkedIn and cannot provide any information about what data is stored about you through the use of the LinkedIn service.

In addition to your voluntarily entered data such as profile, login, contact and calendar data, LinkedIn also collects and processes, for example, location and device information as well as Internet Protocol addresses (IP addresses). Using cookies or similar technologies, LinkedIn can also identify you outside of its own services and across different devices.

LinkedIn collects and analyses data from the content, news and messages you publish and upload, as well as data from partners and affiliated companies, such as information provided by your workplace/educational institution, websites or third-party services.

You can find more information about this at: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy
LinkedIn states that it uses your personal data to provide you with additional services (including advertisements), including with the help of automated systems and its own conclusions, and to customise them so that they are more relevant and useful to you and others.

To this end, LinkedIn may also collate data internally via various services covered by its privacy policy (for details, see: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy#use).
The way in which LinkedIn uses the data from visits to LinkedIn pages for its own purposes, the extent to which activities on the LinkedIn page are assigned to individual users, how long LinkedIn stores this data and whether data from a visit to the LinkedIn page is passed on to third parties is not conclusively and clearly stated by LinkedIn and is not known to Korff Isolmatic GmbH.

LinkedIn also states that it may use the services of third parties (partner companies and external service providers) to assist it in providing its services (for example, maintenance, analysis, auditing, payment, fraud detection, marketing and development). These third parties have access to your information to the extent reasonably necessary to perform the relevant tasks for LinkedIn and are obligated not to disclose or use your information for any other purpose. More information on this can be found at: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy#share
If third-party services are used by LinkedIn for the LinkedIn page of Korff Isolmatic GmbH, Korff Isolmatic GmbH has neither commissioned, approved nor supported this in any other way. Nor is the personal data obtained during the analysis made available to Korff Isolmatic GmbH. Only certain non-personal, aggregated information about the activity, such as the number of profile or link clicks on a particular post or page, can be viewed by Korff Isolmatic GmbH via its account. Furthermore, Korff Isolmatic GmbH has no way of preventing or cancelling the use of such services on its LinkedIn page.
Finally, LinkedIn also receives information when you view content, for example, even if you have not created an account (e.g. via a public LinkedIn profile). This so-called “log data” may include the IP address, browser type, operating system, information about the previously accessed website and the pages you accessed, your location, your mobile phone provider, the device you are using (including device ID and application ID), the search terms you used and cookie information.

In view of data protection issues, Korff Isolmatic GmbH refrains from placing adverts on LinkedIn and thus from actively using the data collected by LinkedIn for the targeted management of its communication.

Even if the LinkedIn Corporation is a non-European provider, it is bound by the GDPR in the designated countries. This applies, for example, to your rights to information, blocking or deletion of data.

You have the option of restricting the processing and visibility of your data in your account navigation under “Settings and data protection” under the various menu items listed there.

Please also bear in mind that all the information you enter in your profile is publicly visible by default, i.e. members who log into the network and customers of LinkedIn services can view it. This also applies to your activities within the service, such as comments on posts, “Like” marks or the “Follow” function. Group memberships are also publicly visible.

When you share posts, the default setting is for this to be public. You can restrict the visibility of these posts to your contacts in the options. You can also specify in the LinkedIn settings whether you want to share your contact list with all your contacts. A so-called “public profile” means that your content can also be found outside LinkedIn and in search engines.

Further information on these points is available on the following LinkedIn help pages:
https://www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin

The option to view and download your own data from LinkedIn can be found in your account navigation under “Settings and data protection” in the “Data protection” tab under “How LinkedIn uses your data” or at https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/member-data.

You can find information about the comprehensive data collection by LinkedIn and other data protection setting options at: http://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy

You can opt out of interest-based advertising (not advertising in general) here: Opt-out: https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls/retargeting-opt-out

You also have the option of contacting LinkedIn via the LinkedIn contact form or via the LinkedIn office in Ireland responsible for the designated countries if you have any questions about the privacy policy or user agreement:

Online contact form
https://www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin/ask/PPQ

Postal address:
LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company
Attn: Legal Dept (Privacy Policy and User Agreement)
Wilton Place, Dublin 2
Ireland

You can ask LinkedIn to delete some of your personal data (for example, if the provision of services to you is no longer necessary) using the contact details above.

However, there are also data uses that you cannot influence via the settings.
If you do not agree to such use, your only option is to close your account: https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/account-management/close-submit

If you are located in one of the designated countries of the GDPR, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commissioner.https://www.dataprotection.ie/docs/Contact-us/b/11.html

2. data processed by Korff Isolmatic GmbH:

Korff Isolmatic GmbH also processes your data. It does not collect any data itself via its LinkedIn account. However, the data you enter on LinkedIn, in particular your user name and the content published under your account, will be processed by us to the extent that we may share your postings or comment on them or write postings from us that refer to your account. The data you freely publish and disseminate on LinkedIn is thus included by Korff Isolmatic GmbH in its offering and made available to its fans and subscribers.

Furthermore, as the provider of our LinkedIn page, we do not collect or process any personal data from your use of our service. The page is used exclusively for information and communication.

Instagram

Korff Isolmatic GmbH uses the technical platform and services of Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland for the information service offered.

We would like to point out that you use this Instagram page and its functions on your own responsibility. This applies in particular to the use of the interactive functions (e.g. commenting or rating).

When you visit our Instagram page, Instagram collects, among other things, your IP address and other information that is stored on your PC in the form of cookies. This information is used to provide us, as the operator of the Instagram pages, with statistical information about the use of the Instagram page.

The data collected about you in this context will be processed by Instagram Inc. and may be transferred to countries outside the European Union. Instagram describes in general terms what information Instagram receives and how it is used in its privacy policy. There you will also find information on how to contact Instagram and the settings options for adverts. The privacy policy is available at the following link: https://help.instagram.com/519522125107875

Instagram does not conclusively and clearly state how Instagram uses the data from visits to Instagram pages for its own purposes, to what extent activities on the Instagram page are assigned to individual users, how long Instagram stores this data and whether data from a visit to the Instagram page is passed on to third parties, and we are not aware of this.

When you access an Instagram page, the IP address assigned to your end device is transmitted to Instagram. According to Instagram, this IP address is anonymised (for “German” IP addresses) and deleted after 90 days. Instagram also stores information about the end devices of its users (for example, as part of the “login notification” function); Instagram may thus be able to assign IP addresses to individual users.

If you are currently logged in to Instagram as a user, a cookie with your Instagram ID is stored on your device. This enables Instagram to understand that you have visited this page and how you have used it. This also applies to all other Instagram pages. Instagram buttons integrated into websites enable Instagram to record your visits to these websites and assign them to your Instagram profile. This data can be used to offer you customised content or advertising.

If you want to avoid this, you should log out of Instagram or deactivate the “stay logged in” function, delete the cookies on your device and close and restart your browser. This will delete Instagram information that can be used to directly identify you. This allows you to use our Instagram page without revealing your Instagram ID. When you access interactive functions on the site (like, comment, message and others), an Instagram login screen appears. After logging in, you will once again be recognisable to Instagram as a specific user.

Information on how you can manage or delete existing information about you can be found in the following Instagram help section.

As the provider of the information service, we do not collect and process any other data
no data from your use of our service.
You can find the current version of this privacy policy under “Data policy” on the respective Instagram page.

YouTube

Korff Isolmatic GmbH uses the technical platform and services of Google Ireland Limited Gordon House, Barrow Street 4, Dublin, Ireland for the information service offered.

When you visit our YouTube channel, certain data is automatically collected and stored by YouTube and its partner companies, including your IP address, information about the device you are using and information about how you use our channel (e.g. which videos you watch or like). This data is used to improve the quality of our content, to show you more relevant advertising and to analyse the use of the channel. If you have a YouTube account and are logged in, YouTube can also associate this information with your account. For more information on how YouTube uses your data, please see Google’s privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can adjust your data protection settings in your YouTube account at any time, for example to deactivate personalised advertising or to restrict the transfer of data to YouTube.

We may amend this privacy policy at any time without prior notice. The current version published on our website shall apply. If the privacy policy is part of an agreement with you, we will inform you of the change by e-mail or other suitable means in the event of an update.
